Parent Drivers- Please keep safety in mind as you pick your child up after school. Parents have brought to my attention that some drivers “cut into” the line quickly when they see an opening. This is disrespectful of the driver who has waited patiently to pull up. In addition,it happens so fast that it almost causes an accident. Keep in mind that Skokie Police are present weekly on Laramie and you will be ticketed if you don’t observe the Rules of the Road. Some parents have been ticketed for talking on a cell phone in the school zone, or not securing children under 8 in  a proper restraint system. We want all children to go home in a zone where safe driving is observed—and it’s the law.
