Kindergarten Registration 2021-2022

This page is intended for Kindergarten students who are NEW to Fairview School District 72 for the 2021-2022 school year.

Dear Families,

Fairview South School is excited to welcome new Kindergarten students for the 2021-2022 school year! Registration for families who live in District 72 will take place on the dates below. Due to social distancing guidelines that we have in place at school, please register for an appointment time if you would like to register in-person or you can send in the documents via email.  You can enter through our main school office, off of Laramie Avenue,  and our staff will guide you through the process. Please be sure to bring a mask with you, as well. Here is the link to register for an appointment time. 

If you do not need support from our school office to register, your family’s registration can be completed digitally, and there is no need to make an in-person appointment. Please see the steps below for further details. 


Registration will take place on:

Thursday, February 11th from 7:00am- 4:30pm

Friday, March 5th from 7:00am- 2:30pm


Steps:

  1. Age: Student(s) must be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2021. 

  2. Submit all residency verification paperwork, along with a copy of your child’s original birth certificate to the Fairview School Main Office on one of the dates listed above, or email all of your paperwork to reg@fairview.k12.il.us.  Please try to attach all documents in one email. 

  3. Click here to download the residency verification documents that must be completed and emailed to reg@fairview.k12.il.us or brought in during your appointment time. If your residency type is "Shared" which means the family is living with a person(s) within the school district but you do not own or rent the home, you will need to Click here to download the affidavit forms that will need be to filled out and notarized.

  4. Once your residency is approved, our office staff will provide you with the link to complete your child’s registration via email. 


Once your residency is approved, here is what you can expect: 

  • Our office staff will email you an online registration form to complete.

  • You will also be emailed a digital form to complete via email: A Home Language Survey


The forms listed below are necessary to have on file prior to the first day of school, but are not required to bring with you when you register your child/children. These will be available through our online registration process.

  • Eye exam form

  • Health Form

  • Dental Form
